Beware when bathing during high tide, due to the great amount of rocks under the water. The infrastructure of the beach is top level and recently built. There is a promenade which connects the beach with the lighthouse Faro de Maspalomas, by which there is a shopping centre with restaurants and a leisure centre. This beach is very visited by local people and appreciated by the rod fishers and divers.
From the motorway GC-1, take the exit by the diversion indicating Pasito Blanco. Drive along the road GC 500 and head for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. At the roundabout indicating the urbanization of Meloneras, turn right and go on to the following roundabout. Turn right again and drive straight ahead along the street Mar Blanco to the beach. There is no bus service to reach this beach, but it gets the lighthouse Faro de Maspalomas, where you can continue walking along the promenade. Under the shopping centre, there is a pay parking.
