Some days before the festival, exhibition and ethnographic research activities are developed to create a space for reflection, the display of the Canary Island identity signs and the research of these.
First edition: 30th of May, 1981, with the Fiestas of San Fernando.
Celebration date: End of May or early June. Venue: Square Plaza de San Fernando and cultural centre Centro Cultural de Maspalomas.
This festival is the oldest folklore festival held in the Canary Islands.
