The Maspalomas Carnival claims to be one of the most entertaining and colourful of the many that take place on the island. For one week between the end of February and mid-March, bands of street musicians and performers travel through the streets of the municipality, leaving a fun, party atmosphere in their wake.

At this festival, imagination has no limits, as any character or event can serve as a pretext to come up with a costume and a change of identity.
