CONFERENCE CENTRE
The conference centre "Centro de Convenciones y Exhibiciones de Maspalomas", located in the area known as Meloneras, is built on a total surface of 14,000 square metres and offers the possibility to celebrate many varied events such as: conferences, conventions, exhibitions, concerts, sport events, fashion shows and all kind of meetings. This centre is equipped with the latest technology, what makes this building one of the most modern conference centres in the world. Advance videoconference systems, simultaneous interpreting booths, interactive participation systems, computerized credentials, digital sound and screens, among many other, are some of the features and services of the centre.
Its main floor has also many accesses from outside, one lobby, the hall "Gran Sala Maspalomas", the auditorium "Las Tirajanas", an information point, as well as restrooms and one café. The lobby surrounding the hall "Gran Sala Maspalomas" covers 4,000 square meters on which any exhibition supplementary to the main event, cam be displayed. The hall "Maspalomas" covers an area of 3,870 square metres and can adapted to any necessity. One of the most important features of this hall is the fact that it has no columns which may disturb the observation from any place in the hall. It can also be used either as a unique hall or as an area divided into compartments with the appropriate modules, thanks to the electronic screens, movables stages, exhibition platforms and the versatility of the pavement, etc. This auditorium holds 6,000 people.
Five versatile conference rooms which can be adapted to any event, with the comprehensive technical features installed in the building will guarantee the success of any activity held in this auditorium. It also has an information desk where conference participants will be attended and credentials are issued for the participants attending the meetings, thanks to a new computer system.
The second floor of the building has been designed to offer maximum comfort for the supplementary services which may require any professional event, such as a Business Centre equipped with two modern communication rooms with the latest technical features. It has also one VIP room, one conference room, one press room perfectly equipped.
This building provides space for a large basement with 1,000 square metres used as warehouse, service area and parking. There is also a small bus station and a taxi stand at the entrance of the building which enable conference participants to use the public transportation and go everywhere. There are several hotels in the vicinity of the auditorium which make the ride from the centre to your hotel a wonderful trip.
Finally, the Auditorium "Las Tirajanas", with a total surface of 850 square metres and a capacity to hold 850 people has a multi-purpose 13 x 18 metres stage. This hall is equipped with giant-size screens, ideal for any multimedia presentation. One of the main attractions is, no doubt, its bright and colourful natural-light terrace from which participants will enjoy the charm of this privileged tourist area in Gran Canaria. The special features of this terrace is the possibility to held gala dinners under incomparable nights in the southern of Gran Canaria.
